In everything we do, every day…
In 1984, Roland D. Benjamin co-founded ABRA Auto Body in Fridley, Minnesota. Our first location featured modern high-tech equipment, a highly trained staff, and a clean, customer friendly environment. From that first day, Abra's team set out to provide quality repairs and superior customer service.
Abra's approach to business quickly earned the support of vehicle owners and major insurance companies. This near-instant validation of Abra's business model led to the opening of a second facility only eight months after the first shop opened.
Abra originally was an acronym for Auto Body Refinishers of America, but we called ourselves ABRA Auto Body. In 1989, we added the auto glass operation and became ABRA Auto Body & Glass.
By 1992, Abra continued to add auto body repair services. Paintless Dent Removal (PDR) offered consumers a viable alternative for low-cost repairs involving dings or dents commonly known as “parking lot rash.”
Abra has continued to open new locations. With over 350+ locations across the country, we strive to get you and your family back on the road safely again. Today we're Abra Auto Body Repair of America and we're here to get you back in the hands of your favorite travel buddy. Because it's more than just a car.
