We know the best and brightest come out of our Nation’s military – and that’s where we look first when recruiting new talent. At Abra Auto Body Repair of America there are two exciting career paths in our ACES mentorship program: Body Technician Apprentice and Estimator in Training. Both career paths have excellent opportunities for those who want to get their hands dirty working on cars or those who would rather take on more of a customer facing role. As you transition to civilian life Abra would be proud to support you with a new and rewarding career.
A Body technician is more than someone who just bangs out dents – they’re a craftsman and an artist. It takes heart and commitment to gain the skills to restore a car to showroom quality. The Aces Body Technician Apprentice Program is designed to give you those skills.
For 60–90 days you will receive intensive hands-on training with an experienced Body Technician Mentor, repairing damaged vehicles to pre-accident condition while learning Abra's operational excellence processes.
You’ll be given an entry-level tool set valued at $3,000. From day-one you are an Abra employee, that means you get all the benefits we offer right from the start. Your Abra experience will continue to pay off, the average Body Technician makes $93,415 with the top 20% making $146,274. We also offer career advancement opportunities. Many of our most senior leaders started as Body Technicians.
The Aces Body Technician Apprentice Program is a great way to kick off a civilian work-life.
Putting the pieces back together after a car accident starts with the help of a dedicated trusted advisor. Someone who can take control of an otherwise unpleasant experience and put a smile back on your customer’s face. The Abra Estimator or Customer Service Manager is that person.
As a Customer Service Manager you’ll help people through a difficult time by keeping them continually informed about the repair process. Classroom training, followed by multiple weeks of structured on-the-job coaching will give you the skills you need to write accurate estimates and participate in solving problems that impact the speed and quality of a repair.
From day-one you are an Abra employee, that means you get all the benefits we offer right from the start. Your Abra experience will continue to pay off, the average Customer Service Manager 2 makes $72,727 and has the potential to earn much more, with opportunities to advance into higher level administrative and managerial roles.
